Ways to Get Involved in Your Union

Want to be involved in GEO but don’t know how? Here are some tips!

• Sign a membership card: your dues support our organizing, and being a member ensures that you get union correspondences and can cast a vote! Contact us to have an organizer come talk to you, or fill out an online membership card here.

• Talk to your colleagues about GEO: spread the word that they have a union! Let them know that we have their back. Make sure they know their employee rights and the benefits of having a union.

• Attend General Membership Meetings: stay up to date on what’s happening in your union, and share your thoughts. Keep an eye on our calendar for upcoming dates.

• Join a committee: contribute to GEO’s work by organizing, planning, creating graphics, helping to resolve grievances, or however you can! Read about GEO’s committees and working groups here.

• Become an officer: GEO officer positions are open to all membership!
