IMPORTANT: Location Change for Today’s Bargaining Session

***03/24th/2023 - 220 days since our contract expired***

Dear Graduate Workers,

This is an important email. After more than a year of bargaining with the University administration for a fair contract, it is very likely that today will be our last bargaining session. We have good reason to believe that admin will move towards our demands including wage increases above inflation and fee waivers if you show up.

This may literally be your last chance to use your voice to improve your working conditions at a bargaining session. Please show up for as little or as long as you can today. You can bring your work if you need to; food and childcare are always provided. If you’re not a member yet, you can sign a card at https://uiucgeo.org/join or in person at the door.

Nothing happens if we don’t make it happen. See you there!

UPDATED LOCATION: STUDENT DINING AND RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS (SDRP or IKENBERRY) 2ND FLOOR MULTIPURPOSE ROOM

301 E Gregory, Champaign

*The yellow and gold bus lines will take you directly to the entrance

Invite 2-3 friends and remember to like the GEO on social media so we can stay in touch.

Now is the time to come out for as long as you can. Our strength at the table is you” <<<New locations >>> SDRP, 301 E Gregory, Champaign (aka Ikenberry) Multipurpose Room, 2nd floor. Illinois Student Government Passes Resolution to Endorse GEO’s Contract Proposal

ISG voted unanimously to endorse GEO’s contract proposal and call for the administration to settle this contract. Below shows a screenshot of the ISG president emailing lead negotiator Robb Craddock and Provost William Bernhard with the resolution.

The campus community is calling on the administration to present a fair contract. Now it's our turn to show up and make them listen!
